    • Officials find three dogs starved to death, one dog decapitated in Ohio home
      http://i.spanky.cloud/VermfqJ.jpg

A woman is facing three counts of animal cruelty after the dog warden said officials discovered four dead animals, including a decapitated dog, at her home.

Investigators found the bodies of three starved dogs at a Middletown residence where Tina Marie Jackson was living. according to Butler County Dog Warden Kurt Merbs.

Authorities found only a severed head of the fourth deceased dog. Investigators said the head was not chewed off by an animal and appears to have been cut off by an instrument.

Jackson told authorities that two of the dogs got into a fight and died. She said another dog passed away because she forgot it was out in the cold. The warden said her reasons for their deaths did not add up.

She never offered an explanation for the decapitated dog, authorities said.

    • New York City cab driver beaten over $18 fare as bystanders watched, reports say
      http://i.spanky.cloud/0tGwZUI.jpg

Police are hunting for a couple who beat a New York City cab driver over an $18 fare as a crowd of bystanders reportedly stood and watched without stopping the assault.

Humberto Taveras, 65, picked up a man and woman in the Soundview neighborhood of the Bronx on Friday and drove them to East Harlem, about a 10-minute drive that amounted to an $18 fare, the New York Daily News reported.

The couple allegedly got out of the cab and didn't have the money to pay for the fare, the NYPD said. Taveras got into an argument with the couple about the fee before the duo began punching him.

"The beat down took place in front of a group of men that just stood by and watched while he got punched repeatedly by the male passenger," Fernando Mateo, head of the Federation of Taxi Drivers, told the news site on Sunday.

    • Looking at the disrespectful, anti-president attitude of the survivors of the latest school shooting
Yep, my bros 23andme shows we don't even have a bit of Mediterranean blood and I broke with habit of voting indep. and voted for him 1st term.

I don't regret it. He deserved a chance to break with the neo-lib corporatist dems, but they wouldn't let him/he didn't have the balls.

McCain and Romney were such a joke.

Trump, though there are things I don't like about him personally, is not a mean-hearted person. And I really think that a lot of the butthurt is coming from the fact that he is, in time, helping the traditional base of the old dem party. And I don't just mean whites.

Libs are grasping at straws again in desperation.

    • Kentucky man told police he was a "princess" just prior to his arrest on drug charge
      https://i.imgur.com/7UfIjd1.jpg

A homeless man found asleep in a breezeway at the Registry Apartments was arrested Sunday shortly after he told police he was a princess.

Bowling Green police were called Sunday to 103 Old Morgantown Road when apartment security found the man in the breezeway of the D building. He was behind a vending machine near the stairs. It was 40 degrees and raining and the man was not wearing any shoes or socks, according to police records.

Police identified the man as Andrew Kenney, 24, who has been booked into the Warren County Regional Jail 22 times dating back to 2012.

Police asked Kenney what he was doing there and he said he was a "princess" and said it was a "nice area" so he decided to stop there, records show. An apartment security employee told police that when they found Kenney he put his hand under the vending machine.

"Borne out of a 2007 Georgetown dinner party held for top officials at DHS and Microsoft, the so-called "Optional Practical Training" (OPT) program for foreign science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students is a massive corporate giveaway for the tech industry. Created solely out of regulation in 1992, then unilaterally expanded into the STEM fields in 2008, OPT allows foreign STEM grads from U.S. colleges to stay and work a full three years after they've graduated, all while under a student-visa status. As intended, the DHS program, which now covers hundreds of thousands of these foreign workers, has created a giant low-wage supply of guestworkers for the IT sector. And without any input from Congress, it's as unlawful as it is destructive to American tech grads and workers.

Big Tech corporates covet foreign OPT workers, not for being the "best and brightest," but for being cheap and docile; an open secret known to all U.S. workers in the industry, especially our tech-union plaintiffs. Similar for the university lobby, they want foreign students less for being outstanding geniuses and more for being "profit centers" who generally pay far higher tuition rates than domestic students."
